Every site is different
The same site may need noise and vibration assessed in very different ways depending on how it will be used. A housing developer will be concerned about noise from roads, railways and commercial premises affecting future residents, and how to mitigate it. If the same land were developed as an industrial site, the Local Authority would instead focus on how noise from the new site would affect the surrounding area.
